Riverlands is a beautiful, close‐knit school with a talented staff base. My children have flourished at the school, under the direction of committed teachers who ensure each child has a genuine understanding of a new task or challenge, rather than rushing the children through the curriculum in bulk. The Montessori system allows my children to develop their talents and address their weaknesses with dignity and enthusiasm. The school has contributed to my children becoming compassionate people and lifelong learners.
We are very happy with the school. Staff and families are friendly. The children are respected as individuals.
My daughter was very unhappy at her previous school and has blossomed at Riverlands. She is happy and excited about school. The teachers really do work hand in hand with the kids and parents.
Riverlands has exceeded our expectations. We love everything about the school. We love that all the staff know all the children and the small school community. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to schooling for our son.
A wonderful learning environment that fosters a love of learning.
It’s great that they start at 3yrs as the kids absorb so much and learn so quickly. Montessori is a great philosophy and education.
To the Principal,
I am writing to congratulate the Year 1-3 students from your school on their wonderful behaviour whilst visiting the Claremont Museum this week. I was not the only one to acknowledge their positive behaviour that day, as my volunteers also expressed their delight with the children’s excellent behaviour whilst working with them in the schoolroom, kitchen, washing and rag rugs. I noticed, in particular, the teamwork skills that the students demonstrated and the polite way that they worked with each other showing respect for all individuals.
I think these students should be congratulated on displaying such positive behaviour and thanks, of course, should also go to their teachers. It would be a pleasure to have students from your school visit the Claremont Museum in the future. Please pass on my praise to the Year 1-3 students and their teachers.

Riverlands Montessori is unique. Not only is there an incredible focus on developing each individual student to reach their full potential, but the memories I have of Riverlands speak to the multitude of opportunities the school offered – opportunities which I believe no other primary school could have given me.
The teachers and staff took every opportunity to broaden our skills and mindset, both during class and in various school projects and activities. From developing and recording songs on social issues, to history projects on our local community, to participating in the creative thinking initiative Tournament of Minds, to interviewing and recording on the lives of Indigenous Elders, Riverlands gave me such a diverse insight into the world.
This school does more than just educate on what is necessary. It expands the boundaries of education to include creativity and social awareness, and helps equip every child with the ability to develop their own unique personality and allow their skills to strengthen and diversify.
